Totally Disappointed!

I weighed in today, and was so excited.  I had 3 terrific weigh in's, and was very much looking forward to this one.  I was anticipating hitting the single digits and losing about 10 inches.  So at 5:30 PM I was on the scale at Lana`s.  I was totally ddisgusted at the results.  I lost bagels, zippo, zero and nada.  Absolutely no weight loss what so ever.  Not only that I lost a total combined inches of .5``.  Albiet 1 inch off my stomach and .5 from my hips.  I gained on my legs and arms.  How is that possible..........

I talked to Lana and Laurel who was there with me. I guess part of it is that I usually weigh in the morning.  It was now 8 hours later.  I had a bit of a cheat last weekend, and I had some significant losses in previous weeks.  Not that it makes the situation any easier to swallow, oops.....I just gained another pound, but I guess it can`t all be good.  It`s been 25 days since I started so that is 1 lb a day since I started and about 1 inch a day as well.  I guess if I knew this was the way it would be, I wouldn`t be so upset about it.  It just sucks right now, especially cause I thought I had done so well.  I will just have to try and keep positive and keep it up.  It is working and I see the results.  It will all come back around, I know it.

299 will just have to wait for 3 more weeks................

  1. The time of day can make a big differene Dave (as I'm sure Lana told you). I've seen up to 5 lbs throughout the day. Hang in there. So many things can make your weight fluctuate day to day and maybe it was just an off day.

    Hello, do you know me?

If you don’t, you should. I’m a pound of fat, and I’m the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.

    Want to know why?

It’s because no one ever wants to lose me.
I’m ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound! Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.

So I just stick around and happily keep you fat. Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it. That is, until I’ve grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.

Yes, it’s fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying,

"Oh, I only lost one pound."

For you see, if you do this, you’ll encourage others to keep me around because they’ll think I’m not worth losing. And, I love being around you – your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days! After all, I’m ONLY ONE POUND!

P.S. I know the end gets a little weird there but for me this is the concept… If you are trying to make changes and reach weight loss goals OWN your accomplishments. Whether it’s a pound lost on the scale, a week of cooking your own food or a taking a walk after dinner. Don’t sell yourself short. Ever.
